The Raptors

You are sitting in traffic near the airport when the sky tears open. Two F-22 Raptors from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam go vertical off the runway at full afterburner, shaking your rental car and every filling in your teeth. This happens on a Tuesday. Nobody else looks up. The car in front of you does not brake. You have just met the most expensive commute interruption in the Department of Defense, and it is not even remarkable enough for the local news.
